Greetings fellow CNE--,
The two enclosed files are a reasonable black & white representation of
the Novell CNE logo. The .wmf file can be imported into Word for Windows (WFW)
2.0 and most other windows based wordprocessors without difficulty while
the .wpg file will work in Wordperfect 5.1. Instructions follow.
These files are shareware. This means that you are free to copy and distribute
this diskette and to try out the drawing without charge, but if you use
the logo you must pay for it. Otherwise you will be cursed. The lice of a
thousand maggot infested camels will invade your pubic areas. Also WSUPDATE
will do the strangest things and you can forget about a clean backup tape.
For $5 you get the two files. For $10 you will get a disk with the logo in
in numerous file formats, in numerous sizes and in living color. You get
wallpaper, you get .EPS in color. You even get color separations that might
Save you bookoo bucks on a print job.
Your choice:
a) $5. for these two files (You get nothing but a nice letter
saying thank you and a release from the curse)
b) $10. for the whole shebang (Please specify 5 1/4 or 3 1/2)
c) Lice from the camels.

INSTRUCTIONS
Word for Windows 2.0
Word for Windows 2.0 allows you to import and scale a graphic. The included
bitmaps seem to scale well between 50% and 150%. If you need more, you will
need to get the $10. kit that contains larger and smaller drawings.
However, the enclosed bitmaps will work OK for stationery on 300dpi printers
There are several ways to import the files. One way:
1. Select Insert, Picture
2. Choose cnelogo.wmf file, click on OK
Logo will appear in WFW but won't be easily moveable.
3. Highlight Logo, Select Edit, Cut. Picture will disappear
4. Select Insert, Frame
If you are not already there, WFW will ask you to move to page
layout mode, Select Yes
5. In page layout mode, drag cursor to create frame the desired size
6. Chose Edit, Paste, logo will be pasted inside frame
7. You can now move the frame where you want it.
8. To resize logo, click on the logo and drag a corner.
WordPerfect 5.1
I am not a WordPerfect type. There may be better ways but this works.
1. Create a graphic box where you want it. (Unless you are already good at
WP and graphics, you will need patience and trial and error to get results.)
a. Press Graphics (Alt-F9)
b. Select 1 - Figure
c. Select 1 - Create
In the DEFINITION:FIGURE Menu:
d. Select 7 - Size
e. Select 3 - Set Both
f. Choose width & height to your taste
(Try .7 width, 1.2 height for starters)
g. Select 1 - Filename
Type in the filename {path}(cnelogo.wpg) and press enter
h. Select 4 - Anchor Type, press F3 (Help) and make your own choice how
to place the figure
i. Select 5 - Vertical position. Use F3 for help.
h. Select 6 - Horizonal Position (this depends on anchor type)
j. Select 9 - Edit. Use arrow keys to position within the figure box.
Use PgUp, PgDn to resize logo within the box
k. Press exit F7 to return to Definition Figure Menu
l. Press F7 to return to document.
2. The box will be empty. Don't panic, to view the logo press [shift] F7 6
3. To make revisions to any of your choices above, take note of the figure
number, position the cursor anywhere BEFORE the figure box and:
a. Press Alt F9
b. Select 1 - Figure
c. Select 2 - Edit
d. Type your figure number
e. Go through the Definition: Figure menu and make revisions as desired.
f. Press F7 as needed to return to document.
g. Press shift F7 and 6 to view.
4. Repeat the above steps, until you have the logo where and how large you like it.
Pagemaker 4.0
Pagemaker works best with the .EPS file supplied on the $10 Kit.
However, Pagemaker does have an import filter for .WMF images.
Use INSERT. It is no problem.
Technical Stuff:
These logos were not scanned. The Logos were hand drawn in CorelDRAW
directly from the Novell startup kit. CorelDRAW is an object oriented
drawing package. In CorelDRAW, the logos are scalable to any size.
The black can be changed to any color. Text can be changed in
milliseconds. The result can be output in almost any format. Also,
with a program call Hijaax I can export the logo to almost anything.
If you need something special E-Mail me.
The enclosed logos are bitmaps. They will print OK on 300dpi printers
but will look jagged if over scaled in either direction. My way around
this is to use .eps files that both scale very nicely and print to
whatever resolution your printer has. Another way is to scale the
logos in CorelDRAW and export them. In the $10 kit I provide many
bitmaps, both black and red, in various sizes.
